OVER DE INTERFACE
Het Sanctuary City project bestaat uit twee delen. In eerste instantie worden de ingezonden 'sanctuaries'gerepresenteerd op de website van SC. Later, in het voorjaar van 2000 maakt SC een selectie van deze verzameling vrijplaatsen, en presenteert ze letterlijk in de openbare ruimte. Daartoe wordt in een van de vitrines van het ABNAMRO bankfiliaal aan de Jodenbreestraat 96 in Amsterdam een interface gecreëerd die vanaf de straat zichtbaar zal zijn. De voorbijganger die toeschouwer wordt, kan zo toegang krijgen tot de verzameling.

ABOUT THE INTERFACE
The Sanctuary City project consists of two parts.
Initially the 'sanctuaries' which SC will receive will be represented on the Sanctuary City website. Then, in the spring of 1999, SC will make a selection out of this collection of 'sanctuaries' and present these literally within the urban space. The interface that is being developed will be installed in the display window of the ABNAMRO-Bank branch in the Jodenbreestreet 96 in Amsterdam, and will be visible from street level. The passerby in the street will become a viewer and will be able to access the different sanctuaries using this interface.
